Recently, I had the pleasure of celebrating my client's birthday with a photoshoot on a boat on Lake Zurich. Not only was it a beautiful way to mark such a meaningful occasion, but it was also a first for me—I had never photographed a session on a boat before!

Between the sparkling water, the stunning views, and the relaxed atmosphere, every moment felt magical. We laughed, enjoyed the sunshine, and created memories that will last far beyond the birthday itself.

Apparently, I get all sorts of cameras for my birthday.

This camera was made entirely of gingerbread. It looked surprisingly professional, handled terribly in low light, and had a very short lifespan because I ate it shortly after this photo was taken.

I don’t know how I got so lucky to photograph so many talented women this year, but I’m incredibly grateful for it.

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing J.J. Silkwood, a talented author currently pursuing traditional publication for her debut novel.

Hearing that these portraits helped strengthen her confidence as she takes this exciting next step was incredibly rewarding—and a great reminder of the impact thoughtful visual storytelling can have on personal and professional journeys.

Working with J.J. Silkwood was an absolute pleasure. As a bonus, she introduced me to an English bookstore that instantly made me wonder if I’d somehow landed in London—full of charm, character, and the kind of atmosphere you want to linger in.
